- Significant change in lifestyle- Earlier, young people were engaged in a lot of physical activities throughout the day. They were not under so much stress all the time. The tides have turned entirely now. It is common to see people from 25-35 years old sitting in front of a computer for the major part of the day. They have no time to prepare and eat healthy food. They resort to consuming junk and processed food, which is faster to make. However, the amount of unhealthy fat and cholesterol it contains can be damaging to your heart. There is no routine maintained for the day. Necessary activities like sleeping and eating on time go for a toss. Since youngsters are under so much stress, they start smoking to relieve it. The number of young male and female smokers has been on the rise. Smoking is a significant risk factor for heart attack, as well. All these changes in lifestyle have been touted to be the primary cause.
- Increase in weight and incidence of obesity- like mentioned before, since young people are eating so much food with synthetic reservations, they are getting obese. Delivery systems like Uber Eats and Swiggy have made sure that the poison reaches your table in no time, making it very convenient. Obesity is a significant health concern throughout the world. When one is obese and eats high fat and cholesterol food, they get deposited on the inside of the blood vessels. These vessels get blocked eventually, and the circulation is hampered, which can lead to an attack. Therefore, it is something that needs to be adequately addressed.
- Sedentary form of life- the number of hours one spends sitting on a chair and staring at the screen has also significantly increased for young people. It is not restricted to work only. Since the internet has become so accessible these days, people are looking into their phones at all times. Real-life socializing has reduced, and people follow a sedentary lifestyle. There is absolutely no cardio or physical activity involved. All the reasons mentioned above are the most important ones for heart attacks among young people. It is a matter of concern. Necessary steps should be taken to tackle the problem and also deal with the risk factors associated with it.
